About The Interlink Alliance

Ohio University and a consortium of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Predominantly White Institutions (PWIs), sharing a longtime commitment to the education of African-American students, have created The Interlink Alliance. Its purpose is to establish mutually beneficial initiatives to promote access to higher education for all students of African-American descent.

Members of The Interlink Alliance work together to promote faculty and student development, leadership development, research collaboration, faculty and student exchanges, and an African-American male initiative. Other interests include student pipeline issues, new teaching strategies, improvement of infrastructure and raising awareness of concerns in higher education.

Interlink Alliance Core Mission Statement

The Interlink Alliance holds as its central purpose the development and preparation of African-American students to learn, live and lead in the 21st Century. Drawing on a historic legacy of access and opportunity, member institutions will leverage synergistic strengths to foster student and faculty development. The Alliance’s mission is to recruit, retain and encourage talented individuals to achieve their full potential for the betterment of community and society.
